Knee Deep in "No, it's too early!"

At the behest of a co-worker, the Partner in Crime and I were directed to the Festival of Trees today, a benefit for the local children's hospital . The PIC protested, "I don't do Christmas before Thanksgiving." But he went along, being the good sport that he is and seeing as how it's a benefit and all.
It was cute. Lots of local merchants doing their thing, a local gospel choir (who sounded quite good), and some little bits of fabulousness here and there among the Martha Stewart wanna-bes.

My favorite tree, naturally, was the most glamorous -- all tulle and glitter and mermaids and crap. And it came with a matching wreath! Yes, I guess it was an underwater, by-the-sea theme. It really stood out. We love that.

The PIC likes his trees simpler.

We also got a free CD just for coming.

But that's in temporary storage -- we're not doing any more Christmas-y stuff for another week.
