Battlestar Galactica - The Reboot

I started watching this last night at the behest of a colleague. She's a fellow sci-fi geek and loved it. (This is what we do during down time at work--we talk about television.)
As a fan of the old series (give me a break, I was 14), I thought I would give it a shot.

After the first two episodes, I have to say: It's boring.

How do you make a boring sci-fi series about the end of humanity? Maybe it's the pacing. All these slow fades to black are killing me.

So far, Mary McDonnell is the only saving grace.

Jamie Bamber is totally pinging my gaydar.

UPDATE 03/12/13: Okay. I'm hooked.
