Well, after a couple of months of freedom, the outdoor cat is once again an indoor cat. We've been worried about her state of mind for a while now -- she'd only come in for meals, howling -- and we were worried about the preponderance of wildlife showing up in the area. (Since the raccoon-on-porch episode a few months ago, we've since had an opossum-on-porch incident.)
She seems to have adjusted. After a week or so spent on the rug in the kitchen she's migrated to the bottom of an unused bookshelf in the dining room. And she's becoming more affectionate. She's even joined us for movie night a couple of times. Wish us luck.
