At the behest of a co-worker of the Partner in Crime, we rented The Machine Girl this week. Mixed reactions here in the household.The PIC enjoyed the campiness of it. I prefer more traditional (gay) camp.
I have to admit, I'm not much interested in the genre. But there was one aspect that fascinated me: the casting of actors who seem to be all about the same age to play characters of wildly-varying ages (I swear, the actor playing a 10-year-old looked about the same age as those playing his best friend's parents). That's not something I'd encountered before.
